Summer Lavender Lemonade

Summer Lavender Lemonade!
It is "Throwback Thursday"!
I created the painting below in 2006.
One of my art galleries was located at the time in the little village of "Sisters, Oregon".
The town of Sisters is first noted for its famous "Sisters, Rodeo" held in June every year.
The second event is the "Sister's Quilt Show".
The show brings thousands of quilters every year to view quilts from all over the United States.
I created a series of several quilts for the show.
The idea for "Summer Lavender Lemonade" came from sitting on my porch in the summer
and watching all the animals and birds playing everywhere.
The Oregon Meadowlark announces the arrival of summer while
the chipmunks cause trouble by climbing the daisy vase.
All of the pieces of glass came from my collection.
I just love the colors and detail in Depression Glass.
The detail on these paintings take several months to create!
I always tell everyone its like placing a massive detailed puzzle together.
The Goldfinch arrives to check out the sweet taste of the Lemonade.
The recipe for Summer Lavender Lemonade is below.
I make it all summer long and it is simply refreshing on those hot Oregon summers!
If you look closely you can see that the fabric has little ladybugs, butterflies and dragonflies.
They have become bored being fabric and are now flying away!
My imagination never stops!

The crystal green glass vase, the daisies, monarch butterflies, just say "Summer".
Most of you know .......
. I always painted a painting of myself painting the painting.
The image became a logo for my business for many years.
When I started creating nature pieces I became a mouse at an easel.
Below I have my summer hat on and sitting among-st the lemons.

The Oregon Meadowlark sings very loudly...."Summer is here"!
I used the Summer Lavender Lemonade painting as the back drop for my indoor patio room in Sisters.
Even in the middle of winter I would sit in the morning and enjoy the warmth of the room!

Summer says "Enjoy the Sunsets" on your Veranda, Porch, Patio, or Deck!
Always Toast the Summer Sunsets!
