What a fun Sunday I had last weekend!
I was notified by the Facebook Organization.... " Through the Viewfinder"
that two of my photographs I entered WON First Place!
The one below called "Clouds and Iris Fields" had the most votes!
I took this photo last May in Northeastern Oregon.
The field was a show stopper!
The purple wild iris's next to the green yellow stems were amazing!
I actually had a few people driving by laughing at me because
I was on my knees in the middle of the iris's!
They probably were wondering what this lady was doing!
Artist's have to capture it ALL!
The beauty of northeastern Oregon really takes your breath away.
Very few people live here so when you are hiking you hear just the sounds of nature!
I decided to paint a painting of this beautiful scene.
Below is the painting called "Storm Clouds and Iris Fields".
When thunderstorms roll across the high country you feel like your part of the storm!
It is so close and the sounds of thunder echo off the mountains and hills.
Painting clouds is so much fun...the richness of the light creates such drama!
The rains and the flash of lighting provide such a wonderful color spectrum.
I wanted the iris field filled with movement and color!
The hidden details provide the viewer endless hours of observations!
Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, bugs will keep everyone looking.
The "Fine Art Prints" are available in the
"Jennifer Lake Fine Art America Store".
Many sizes of prints and products are also available!
The original painting is small and measures 16 X 20.
The release price for the original is $2500.00
