Garden in Winter?

Wherever I live.. I always have a little Winter Garden.
The garden provides a release from the long winter days!
The indoor Winter Garden creates a sense of renewal.

My indoor garden changes from year to year and I enjoy trying new things with plants.
Most people plant Amaryllis for the Christmas season...
I plant the giant bulb in November and then I have amazing red blooms for Valentines Day!
The plant already has three blooms and two stalks!
One of the flowers is already salad plate size!
The LINK below will take you to a site that I follow to grow them:
Winter flowers just take away the winter white blah!

I also start my Geranium seeds in late November.
The plants already look like they are ready to be re-potted into larger containers.
Over the years I have wintered over my geranium plants.
I would cut them back and place them in the garage. Water them once a month.
On Valentines Day I would start feeding them again.
I always you Miracle Grow not sure if its the best but it has always worked for me!
They also make a great Orchid feed.
You will have amazing plants long before the true season starts!

I found this "Fleurs" wooden basket years ago and
I have planted Tulips/ Daffodils/ Narcissus's and Violets in it.
A wonderful center piece for the dining table in the middle of winter.
It is so country looking and worn. I just love it.
This year I planted Tulips...looks like they are doing well!
I followed these tips from the site below:
https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/tulips/forcing-tulip-bulbs.htm
I also raise orchids, violets and loads of green plants and herbs!
Living on the mountain I  have dug up small pine trees and placed them in antique pots around the cabin.
The smell of pine radiates throughout the cabin.
At Christmas time I decorated them with small ornaments....Hearts for Valentines Day!
