Customers Favorite Things from the Jennifer Lake Fine Art Store

Happy New Year Everyone!
Thank-you ALL for making the 2016 Season the BEST for all my
ON LINE Stores!
Simply Amazing!
Here are a few of the pieces that sold in the
Jennifer Lake Fine Art America Store!
The framing combinations I always find interesting!
Framing can change a piece of art completely!

"A Snake in the Grass"
The photograph was taken in the Caribou Territory of Canada in 2015.
I love how the frame works so well with the piece.
The client is from Minnesota and purchased several coordinating pieces for their office.

"Daisy Dew"
One of my personal favorite photographs I have ever taken.
The daisy just looks so Happy!
I love the spirals in the center of the flower.
The client is from Santa Barbara. The piece is going to be displayed in her garden room.

"Teddy"
I painted this piece several years ago. The teddy bear is actually my sons.
The print was purchased by an interior designer in Montana.
I bet its going into a log home...?

"I Wish We Were Invited"
In 1996 I painted this painting and I think now it has become a Christmas collectors item.
I cannot even tell you now how many prints have been sold.
The painting was the first I created after painting so many cities for so many years.
The painting represents a new chapter in my art career.
The bunnies really want to be invited to the Christmas Chipmunk Party.
The print was sold to a family in Eugene, Oregon!

"Malhuer Bird Refuge"
The same family that purchased "A Snake in the Grass" also purchased the "Malhuer Bird Refuge" print.
I think they look great together!

"The Snowmobile Holiday"
I personally love how they framed this piece. The log cabin really POPS!
I know the wife that purchased this piece for her husband for Christmas!
I hope he loved it!

"Seattle"
One thing I love about Americana Folk Art is you can make it look very primitive and very contemporary just with the frame alone.
A client in downtown Seattle purchased this piece for their waiting room at their dental office.
The pieces I have created make great pieces for reception rooms because
people can look at them for hours.

" Winter Silhouette"
I was thrilled when I saw this order come through!
I personally love this piece for winter! So much drama and shades of pastels!
Very contemporary and yet filled with nature.
The client is from Denver, Colorado.

"Purple Mountain Majesty"
The print depicts some of the mountains located in north eastern Oregon.
The print is an abstract painting collage in acrylic.
I love the colors and huge strokes of color.

"The Tower of Ice"
I got so excited over this order! The client owns a Martini Bar!!
How great is that!
The photograph is part of the Shapes of Snow Collection.
I am currently creating new pieces to add to the collection.
I have been very pleased with the response!
Thank-you Everyone!
I hope you enjoyed viewing a few of my clients "Favorite Things"
Have a Wonderful New Year!

This Week in Pictures

What a Week!
A week ago my new dear puppy Max arrived in my life.
I had been looking for a dog for quite sometime.
My friend Rachel found him and he arrived in style!
Rachel & Garrett brought him here in their totally lit up truck!
A package for Christmas! How Great!

Max has one blue eye and one brown eye!
He is a joy...that being said there were two days this week that I wondered what I had done.
We are bonding well as each day passes!

Max...Note his eye color. He just loves the snow!

This week brought the first snow plow for my 3/4 mile driveway!
Thanks to Cary for keeping my drive free and clear all winter!
Now the pile up begins! It has snowed everyday this week!
The snow in the woods is now 21/2 feet deep.

I started decorating the cabin this week!
I created some new fun things that I will share next week!
Log cabins just scream "Decorate me for Christmas"!
Red bows, lots of plaid and anything that says "Cozy Christmas Cabin"!
Click on my Pinterest Board: "Jennifer Lakes Christmas Cabin" for a variety of ideas!

The view from my office was simply a ten all week!
It makes you feel like you fell inside a Christmas Card!

The ON LINE Stores were very busy all week with Christmas Sales!
All the stores on my blog have sales going on throughout the week.
The Jennifer Lake Fine Art America ON LINE store has a
20% OFF Discount through Monday night December 12th.
USE CODE: VXUGGF at Check out!
This will be the last sale before Christmas. Enjoy!
The snow really started piling up on the roof of the cabin.
Its fun to watch it slowly creep off the roof!
Then all of a sudden ...BOOM!
All the snow comes down at once!
Last year the snow was piled 20 feet in the air on both sides of the cabin!
I have to be really careful and keep an eye on Max when the snow falls!
The BIG job before winter this week was completed!
The water system here at the cabin is very complex and needs to be cleaned every six months.
There are so many mineral deposits in the wells here.
 Harmless however.
But it is a process you MUST do or your water will be light brown! UGH!
The people below are simply amazing!
Thank-you Advanced Plumbing Technologies!
I think the water system looks like a booze still?
Don't you think?

Max and I trudged through the snow & cut our first Christmas Tree together!
Yes, I am going to try and have a tree with a puppy!!! Wish me luck!

I laughed when we went out to cut a tree.....GEE..they are all mine!
Thousands to select from!
If one tree doesn't work out ,,,just pick another! LOL!
It has been another amazing week here!
The main thing I have learned living here thus far.....Life is an Adventure!
Take the RISK and LIVE!
Have a Wonderful Sunday Evening Everyone!

OH,,,,MAX says HI!

Oh My! Tis the Season!

Tis the Season! Celebrate!
It is the time of the year that I have lists of lists!
Do any of you feel the same way?
Food List, Gift List, School List, Guest List, Christmas Card List, Donation List, Church List,
 Open House List, Etc. Etc.
Now that I live on top of a mountain in rural Oregon my list's have changed!
My list's now consists of winter survival needs first!
However, I still have the list of food prep for Special Guests over the holidays.
The list for making my annual Cookie Baskets for all those
Special People that have helped make my life better this year!
My "Donation List" is completed for this year!
One family in Baker City, Oregon will be having a Special Christmas!
This by far is my favorite tradition!
Now I have to add a NEW List.....What to do for Max (my new dog) for Christmas?
He has already brought me such joy and companionship!
I hope you have a Wonderful Day & Enjoy the Season!

Magone Lake...Let your Imagination go Wild!

A Fall Adventure at Magone Lake
What a beautiful day last month to hike all around Magone Lake!
Located north east of John Day (Grant County) Oregon by approximately 25 miles.
The lake was formed in the early 1800's by a massive landslide which dammed Lake Creek.
The lake was named after Major Magone who was a former Civil War officer.
He discovered the lake and built a cabin that now bares his name.

Trees below the surface from the landslide make boating very hazardous.
The lake is approximately 40 acres.

The trees at the edge of the shore remind me of bones.
 Skeletons of trees.
The area is a photographers paradise! The shadows, fog, mist and rays of sunshine really were wonderful.
Major Magone lived at the lake for years and legend has it that he owned a Palomino horse.
He would ride it all the way to the tiny town of Mt. Vernon which is very close to John Day.
He caught brook trout and carried them to the lake.
He hauled them up to the top with a wooden yoke , which he placed across his shoulders.
Can you imagine the miles?
The Photograph below is called "Natures Bones".

The photograph below is called "The Waves of Time".

The photograph below is called the "The Fire Circle of Life".
When you drive into Magone Lake you can see all the trees leaning from the landslide.
The old pine below I think was cut and burned by a forest fire at one time.

The logs create exciting shadows and contrast with the water.
Your imagination can go WILD here!

The day I visited there was very little wildlife.
Except a few birds and ducks.
I love these two below ...she is saying "You always Ignore Me"!
The photograph below he is saying "You take care of the Kids"!
Like I said your imagination can go WILD!

The photograph below is called "Pink Sky".

Black and White Waves!

"Memories of  Lake Magone"

Thank-you for following my Blog!
I really am enjoying my NEW adventures and am loving life!
