What's HOT!

Customer's Favorite Things Last Week!
The "Ms. Elizabeth Day Off Collection" was buzzing with action last week!
Halloween designs were HUGE!
Clients ordered Halloween shirts in every style and image!
Below "Witchy... Ms. Elizabeth" is enjoying her giant candy corn while laying on the
Crescent Moon.
She looks likes it was a long night!
Clients ordered shirts in every color imaginable...NEON colors are number one!
The one below is Orange NEON!
A client in Oregon contacted me about the original of the
 "Paiute Baskets".
The 11 X 14 original now has found a Happy Home!
I will be working on a couple more pieces for the
"Oregon Love Story" and the "Wild West Series" over the winter.

People definitely have the holidays in mind!
I couldn't believe the amount of Christmas Cards that were ordered!
Here are images of the "TOP" sellers from last week!
My favorite is the "Storm".
All Christmas Cards (72) in all are located in my
"Jennifer Lake Christmas Cabin Store"
located on the upper left on this blog!

I created a "Sneak Preview" of Spring 2017 Fabrics.
The "Dragon Fly" fabric comes in several different shades.
The color trends still include aqua, blue, red and a variety of purples!
I am thrilled that the "Nature Themes" remain as a base in design now! They are my favorites!
Simply Timeless!

The Color Yellow!

What a Great Weekend!
I went on a "Color Hike" over the weekend! The Tamarack Trees are just starting to come into their fall shades of yellow. When the sun creates light on them they just glow. In another week the forest will be covered in shades of lemon, golds and bronze. It will be a photographers dream land.
The photos below were taken in the wilderness behind my cabin. The blue sky against the yellow
looks surreal! Combining all these colorful colors into a design will be fun. Such cheerful and positive colors!
I hope all of you had a Great Weekend!
Have a Colorful & Positive Week!

Everyone is Preparing for Winter!

Hi Everyone and Happy Friday!
It's has been a very busy week up here on the mountain. Everyone including all the animals are preparing for the long winter ahead! The first of approximately ten cords of wood arrived. It was
so nice to have help this year stacking it! I learned a lot from last winter and now am storing the wood
In a snow free zone!

The deer are spending the days fattening up for their trip down the mountain soon. The babies have now lost their spots and are ready for their first journey. There is very little signs of wildlife up here in the winter except for the occasional cougar, wolf and coyote. Isn't this little guy cute?

Here is his Mother "Besty"! Besty is the deer that looks in my studio window and watches me paint!
Her winter coat is almost complete. She is now getting a little fatter from after having twins.

The Golden Sunset of Fall the other night! So orange! It was amazing! Even the deer look orange!
The hills in the distance lit up like pumpkins!

The squirrels and golden mantel chipmunks have been extremely busy preparing for winter. I think the nest below is a sign that this is going to be a tough winter! The chipmunks and squirrels have quite the
mansion here. If you look closely you can see many entries. The entire mound is covered with millions of pine cone shavings. Wouldn't you love to see their "interior design" concepts?
A new painting idea for the "Ms. Elizabeth" collection?
Note the little chipmunk sitting eating a peanut on one of the many wood piles arriving!
Have a Great Weekend Everyone!
Let's hope we have a nice long fall!

Happy Red Pot Day!

Oh!..It is going to be a "Red Pot Sunday" in the cabin!
It rained for the first time in months last night!
The fall air is crisp and cool.
A fire in the fireplace, classical music, fresh smell of coffee....what a lovely way to start the day.
I am cooking an old family chicken recipe served with acorn squash, fresh greens, fresh apple salad and home made breads.
The apron is on and I am ready to begin!
It is "Sunday Supper" at my little cabin in the woods!
Have a "Red Pot Sunday" everyone!

Christmas in Oregon...........................

CHRISTMAS in OREGON!
Happy Thursday Everyone!
Look what original painting just came back on the Art Market!
"Christmas in Oregon"
I painted the painting in 1989.
The image depicts my Victorian living room in Crook County.
I restored a quaint Victorian Home from 1984 ~ 1989.
The home was originally owned by Judge Bowman for over 60 years.
The "Bowman Dam" and the "Bowman Museum" were named after him.
Judge Bowman's contributions to Crook County were enormous. He assisted developing the first irrigation systems in the Central Oregon region and ran a financial company which now houses the
 "Bowman Museum".
It took three years to restore the house. The house ended up being one of many that I built or remolded.
A favorite passion of mine.
If you look closely at all the pictures you can see minute details.
The painting is being sold with the original gold frame and measures
32" X 42".
The painting has sold over 12,000 prints nationwide.
I am representing my client on the sale of the painting.
I hope we can find a very Happy New Home.

The houses on the mantel are representations of homes throughout the State of Oregon that are on the National Historic Trust.
For over 10 years I worked directly with the Oregon Historic Trust and personally wrote seven National Register Trust applications for Crook County.
Along with several committees Crook County accomplished placing a total of nine buildings on the trust. The only exception...sadly the
 Crook County Courthouse.
The completed application still sits in a box in my storage unit.
The Crook County Court repeatedly turned it down during the 80's.
If someone would like to try again...please let me know.

Can you name all the buildings above throughout Oregon?

A little puppy sleeps in front of the fireplace.

BOO!

Hi Everyone,
Wow! Thursday already! I spent the past week preparing the "Ms. Elizabeth Day Off Boutique" for Halloween!
Yes... Halloween! I created 70 new products and I think there is something for everyone.
You will find everything from candy...to trick or treat bags😊🎃🎃
I really enjoy creating these products and the ideas are endless!
I like that YOU as a customer can also add text...customize color, style anyway you want!
If you need assistance let me know. You can add your grand child's name on all the shirts or trick or treat bags..as an example.
The "Ms. Elizabeth Collection" has several NEW fabrics available in the Fabric Store.
You can also customize the fabric just like the products.
Last year clients created everything from table runners to place mats and outdoor wall hangings.
Use your imagination and have fun! I will be adding even more new items in the next week!
Have a Great Day!

Customers Favorite Things Last Week!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!
The cabin was filled with guests visiting from Portland and Central Oregon.
Everyone just loves the beauty here and the mountain vistas. Very relaxing for many coming from the city. The cool fall air prompted me to cook the first big "Italian" dinner of the season for everyone!
Oh yes...home made bread! The cabin definitely smelled like "Home".

I am very pleased to announce the two paintings below found "Homes" in the past week.
The "Colors of the Plateau" and the "Christmas Forest Visitor".
Over the weekend one of my guests asked if it is hard to sell the originals?
I responded that yes at times because they are so much a part of the artist.
However, the joy I receive when people fall in love with them...is more than enough!

2017 Calendars are selling well for gifts. The "Black & White Photography Calendar" has had tremendous response. I am so pleased...my first photography calendar! Thank you!
The "Celebrating Oregon Calendar" has sold in the smaller size for corporate gifts. Something new for me this year.

Halloween is right around the corner and fabric is selling for a variety of things. Several people are making table runners, banners, flags, placemats etc. I think the ideas are endless. All the Halloween Fabric is in the "Fabric Store". Check out the "Ms. Elizabeth Store" for gift items.
Wow! My collectors sure are organized! I cannot believe how many Christmas Cards sold last week!
I always seem to wait until the last minute! I created some customization for a few clients and provided special pricing on certain quantities.
Just let me know how I can help. These were the top sellers last week. The "Jennifer Lakes Christmas Cabin" has 75 cards you can select from. Have Fun!🌲🌲🌲
Have a Wonderful Day!
